I AM CHRISTEL
Hi! I’m Christel, the creator and face of Jet-lag Magazine. I’m also a luxury hotel expert, blogger, and social media influencer. Moreover I am a professional journaliste. You may have seen me on the new travel TV series, where in I talk about my favorite luxury getaways in each episode. Here at Jet-lag Magazine, I feature the world’s most unique and extraordinary luxury hotel experiences.
I am a Luxury Travel Expert | Blogger | YouTuber | Influencer | Content Creator | Videomaker | Journalist in Jet-lag-magazine.com
Named one of the top luxury blogs in the world, Jet-lag Magazine is a one-stop-shop for discerning luxury connaisseurs. Here they find travel information, trip inspiration, reviews, and beautiful content showcasing luxury travel experiences and luxury lifestyle brands. But it’s a magazine published each trimester.
JET LAG MAGAZINE WILL GET YOUR BRAND THE RIGHT EXPOSURE!
The Jet-lag Magazine viewer base is a highly segmented demographic, fine tuned to serve the luxury niche. Our approach is not to attract as many followers as possible, but to attract the RIGHT followers, who choose to spend their disposable income on memory-making, brain-expanding holidays and experiences congruent with the luxe lifestyle. We create our ads on Facebook and Instagram to directly target this niche demographic. Quality over quantity is our motto. We strive to stay small and authentic, just like the brands and properties we feature.
Our guarantee to you, is that our audience is the right audience for your brand. To give you a quick summary, our followers live predominantly in affluent locations such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris or Monaco. The average age of Jet-lag Magazine viewer base is 25 – 44 and then next 45 – 54. Hence, we are a much better match for the brands we work with, over more generalized influencers with a giant following. The way we see it, it is better to promote your product to a smaller group of the right people, over a large group of people who don’t have the means to enjoy what you offer.
WORKING WITH INFLUENCERS: BEWARE!
Over the past 7 years, we have collected a great deal of knowledge in this industry, and one thing we like to advise brands on, is that while there are many great influencers out there, there are also many “fake” influencers. This doesn’t just include people who have purchased fake followers, this also includes influencers that have attained a giant following through means that do not benefit your brand. For example, anyone can pay to promote their Instagram account. Some influencers choose to promote their content to people in third world countries because it is very inexpensive. You can gain followers in third-world countries extremely fast this way, but they may not be people who are interested in or have the means to purchase your product.
Our guarantee to you, is that our audience is the right audience for your brand, and we’d be happy to show you a screenshot of our statistics in order to prove this high value viewership.
BE YOUR BRAND PARTNER
Additionally, some influencers participate in multiple giveaways where they can “buy in”. They pay a fee to be included in a giveaway which guarantees them a massive number of followers at once. The problem with this is that the followers are usually teens in poor countries who (like my previous example) cannot afford to purchase your product. These are just a few examples of what influencers can do to beef up their numbers. Our advice to you is to look carefully into the followers of the influencers you choose to work with. Ask them for a screenshot of their audience statistics. What is the age range? Where do their followers live? They may market themselves as “luxury influencers” but does their audience have the means to afford your product?
